Jessica came to Physiotherapy by way of Veterinary Sciences. As a Veterinary Nurse (Animal Health Technician), she was inspired by the remarkable outcomes she was seeing in my four-legged patients who received physiotherapy. Her desire to learn more motivated me to return to school. She graduated with a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta after completing an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Calgary. Jessica has pursued additional training intramuscular stimulation, and a variety of manual therapy techniques such as soft tissue release, and joint mobilizations and manipulations, which she integrates in her patients’ in-clinic care. In addition, Jessica is a 200 hr registered Yoga Teacher and enthusiastic climber. She offers PhysioYoga and a clinical care devoted to climbers as part of her practice. She believes that the quality of one’s life can be elevated by drawing awareness to movement and promoting simple repetitive changes to continue recovery and performance beyond the clinic. In her spare time Jessica can be found exploiting the mountains to their fullest with her husband- running their two dogs, rock climbing, skiing, mountain biking or backpacking.
